Command Education Group, headquartered in New York City, is a rapidly-growing, full service education consulting firm that guides students through the college application process. We are currently seeking mentors and counselors to join our team this summer.

The position is remote and the start date is June to July 2022 until the fall 2022.

Job Description:

  • Serving as a counselor for high school students seeking assistance with all aspects of the college application process, including (but not limited to):
    • Common Application and supplemental application essay editing
    • College list creation
    • Activities list/resume guidance
    • Interview prep
  • Forging strong relationships with high school students
  • Mentoring students in all areas of the college application process
  • Communicating with other members of the team regarding student progress

Requirements:

  • Completion of a BA/BS degree from a top-tier university
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively on a high-functioning team
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to engage and relate clearly and compassionately to high school students
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic and high level of enthusiasm and energy

We are seeking recent college graduates from top tier universities to join the team. This Senior Mentor position is full-time and remote. Salary and compensation package is very competitive. Job Description:

Mentoring a select number of high school students, providing assistance with all aspects of the college admissions process, including (but not limited to):

  • Providing guidance/feedback on college lists, essays, scholarships, and applications
  • Interview prep, resume revision, and summer program/ internship search assistance
  • Strategizing course selection, extracurriculars, and volunteer opportunities
  • Forging strong mentor-mentee relationships and helping students develop academically, personally, and emotionally
  • Supporting other team members and assisting in developing shared resources
  • Assisting with and taking the lead on other projects relating to company development

Requirements:

  • Completion of a BA/BS degree from a top-tier college or university
  • English fluency
  • Some experience with education and/or tutoring
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Extremely strong reading, writing, and editing skills
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and ability to come up with creative solutions as well work independently and collaboratively on a small team
  • Able to maintain an excellent work ethic and high level of enthusiasm/energy

Command Education is currently seeking full-time instructors who can teach all sections of the SAT and ACT to join our test preparation team. This position is full-time and remote. Salary and compensation package is very competitive. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing students’ academic strengths and weaknesses from diagnostic tests and initial sessions
  • Developing a custom tutoring timeline and roadmap for each student
  • Conducting one-on-one and group online lessons in ACT English, Math, Reading, and Science and SAT Reading, Writing/Language, and Math
  • Preparing, assigning, and grading all assignments, tests, and quizzes
  • Sending follow up notes with a summary of the session after each session
  • Attending weekly student overview meetings and professional development trainings on a quarterly basis
  • Developing new materials/content and supporting team members on creating shared resources
  • Staying up-to-date on new developments to standardized test requirements from top schools
  • Assisting with and taking the lead on other projects related to company development
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Tutoring

Requirements:

  • Completion of a BA/BS degree from an Ivy League or top-tier college
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience
  • Must be able to teach all sections of the SAT and ACT
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Has strong interests in education and developmental psychology
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a small, high-functioning team
  • Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills along with excellent followthrough
  • Has strong work ethic, ethics, integrity, and accountability
