Command Education is a rapidly growing, high-end education consulting and tutoring firm that guides students through succeeding in high school and the college application process. We are seeking recent college graduates from top-tier universities to join the team. The Senior Mentor position is full-time and remote. Total compensation is a competitive combination of base salary and annual bonus. What you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-touch mentorship to a select number of high school students about all aspects of the college admissions process, including but not limited to:
    • Forging strong mentor-mentee relationships and helping students develop academically, personally, and emotionally
    • Guiding students through academic, extracurricular, and personal project development
    • Providing guidance/feedback on college lists, essays, scholarships, and applications
    • Conducting interview prep, resume revision, and summer program/internship search assistance
    • Building detailed 12-month and multi-year roadmaps for students and effectively communicating student successes and areas for improvement to parents
  • Assisting with and taking the lead on other projects relating to company development
  • Supporting other team members and reporting directly to the Director of Mentoring

Requirements:

Our families come to us with the goal of helping their children gain admission to the most selective universities in the world, including the Ivy League. To meet that expectation, all of our Senior Mentors are graduates of Ivy League or Ivy+ universities. This ensures our team brings first-hand experience, credibility, and a deep understanding of the admissions process at the institutions our students aspire to attend.

As a Senior Mentor you’ll join a team of highly accomplished educators and advisors who combine exceptional academic backgrounds with a passion for guiding students through their high school journey and college applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Ivy League institution required; Ivy+ universities also considered
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent follow-through, and ability to come up with creative solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail as well as strong editing and writing skills
  • High level of enthusiasm and energy for working with students and a small team of passionate educators
  • Previous experience in education, whether advising, mentoring, teaching, and/or tutoring, preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

What we offer you:

This role is being hired at Tier 1 within our career framework, with a targeted base salary range of $75,000-$80,000. This position is part of a broader multi-tier structure, and compensation may vary over time based on experience, performance, and internal advancement opportunities. In accordance with applicable law, this range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base salary for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.

We are seeking recent college graduates from Ivy League and other top tier universities who can teach all sections of the SAT and ACT to join our test preparation team. This Senior Tutor position is full-time and remote. Salary and compensation package is very competitive. General job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing students’ academic strengths and weaknesses from diagnostic tests and initial sessions
  • Developing a custom tutoring timeline and roadmap for each student
  • Conducting one-on-one and group online lessons in ACT English, Math, Reading, and Science and SAT Reading, Writing/Language, and Math
  • Preparing, assigning, and grading all assignments, tests, and quizzes
  • Sending follow-up notes with a summary of the session after each session
  • Attending weekly student overview meetings and professional development trainings on a quarterly basis
  • Developing new materials/content and supporting team members in creating shared resources
  • Staying up-to-date on new developments to standardized test requirements from top schools
  • Assisting with and taking the lead on other projects related to company development
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Tutoring

  • Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills along with excellent follow-through
  • Has strong work ethic, ethics, integrity, and accountability

What we offer you:

The base salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000. In accordance with applicable law, this range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the base salary for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
