Command Med

Command Med is a specialized program at Command Education, designed by our Director (Brown PLME), to offer individualized assistance to high school students interested in applying to combined Bachelor’s/Doctorate of Medicine (BS/MD) programs as well as Bachelor’s/Doctorate of Dental Studies (BS/DDS) programs.

Our approach is unique: we offer guidance and strategic counseling that is catered to each student’s needs and interests, with an ultimate aim of improving applicants’ emotional intelligence and empathetic awareness. The end result is confident, well-rounded applicants who are set up for success, not only in gaining admissions to a combined program, but also in working as a healthcare professional.

Program components:

Research opportunities

Internships and research opportunities with professors and research labs can be the deciding factor in a student’s application — get expert guidance on crafting the perfect resume and cover letter. In just the past year, we have helped students intern at the Columbia University Medical Center, the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, the Weill Cornell Medical Center, and a partner of the Yale University Policy Lab.

Rigorous interview prep

Train for success in the rigorous, multi-round committee interviews used by medical programs by practicing in-person in New York City with simulated interviews by a committee of Senior Counselors.

Unlimited hours

Receive unlimited private one-on-one consultations via video chat, phone call, or in-person meeting, plus text and email at all hours and edits and suggestions on essays and other documents.

Plus:

  • Specialized multidisciplinary curriculum for developing emotional intelligence
  • Find Your Hook™ Workshop
  • 2019 College Application Booster™ Camp
