“Though [graduate] schools will look at your academic history and extracurricular affiliations, they will be far more invested in your background as a […] professional. They will look for more polish, professionalism, and leadership potential than undergraduate admissions, which tend to focus on intellectual curiosity, community engagement, and extracurricular involvements.”
Min Kwon
Senior Mentor
Graduate admissions differ significantly from undergraduate admissions—our Senior Mentors equip students to highlight the unique attributes and accomplishments that admissions officers look for in graduate applicants.
The cornerstone of our mentorship program is growth.
100% of transfer students we worked with in 2024-2025 were admitted to their top choice school, including Brown, Georgetown, Northwestern, Columbia, and NYU.
All results will vary by individual and be affected by factors outside the control of Command Education LLC. Command Education LLC and this website make no representation, promise, or guarantee that any particular result or outcome can or will be obtained.

Parent FAQ
What’s the difference between Command Education’s graduate admissions support and traditional college admissions consulting?
Graduate admissions places a much greater emphasis on professional experience, long-term goals, and academic specialization. Our Premier Graduate Package is customized to each applicant’s needs, whether they are pursuing an MFA, MBA, JD, MD, or MA. Our Senior Mentors provide tailored support to help applicants highlight career achievements, articulate focused academic goals, and craft persuasive application materials suited to the competitive landscape of their target program.
Can I work with Command Education if I haven’t yet decided what type of graduate program I want to pursue?
Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us in the early stages of exploring graduate study or career shifts. Our Senior Mentors help clients clarify their goals, assess their strengths, and determine which programs and degrees will best align with their academic interests or professional aspirations. From there, we build a bespoke strategy to support them through the application process.
When should I start the transfer admissions process?
Ivy League and other top schools generally require students to complete the equivalent of one full year of coursework before transferring. However, students should begin considering and preparing for their transfer over the winter break during their first year of college. This allows time to reflect on their current college experience, identify goals for your next institution, and prepare strong transfer essays for the admissions deadlines between March and May. Our team works closely with students to create a strategic timeline, gather compelling materials, and ensure they clearly communicate why transferring is essential to their academic growth and future success.
